I’ve ordered the Adarac M-series rack for my ‘21 PB with 5’7” bed and it works with my existing Bak tonneau cover. The rear stake pockets are covered with a super easy to remove plastic panel, but the front stake pockets…not so much. Does anyone know exactly where I’ll need to cut holes in the plastic panels to access those front stake pockets? TIA.

How’d the installation go? Would love a review of the Adarac rail. Does it make it more difficult to open your tri-fold tonneau? I’ll only have the vertical beams installed a few times a year, so I’m curious if the rail is a cumbersome. I’m considering pairing the Adarac with the LEER 650 on my short-box ‘22 PowerBoost.

Installation went pretty well. Opening up the stake pockets in the front corners was easy enough, but messy. The Adarac bed rail rack is well engineered and unobtrusive without the vertical load towers. I can manage rolling and unrolling my BAK revolver tonneau cover (not the Tri-fold) just fine. My beef is that Agricover (parent company of Adarac) shorted their parts bag a total of 12 recessed, specialized nuts - so start to finish it took a week.

Thanks for sharing! Looks good. I like the idea of the stake pocket rails, just wish Adarac had t-slot channels on the bed rails instead of their own system.

Pics of the standard BullRings tie downs front and rear. The fronts do not sit flush like the rears and I added some plastic spacers underneath to get it as best I could. I don't think you can trim the raised part of the bed b/c there is a piece running underneath it that gets in the way. I thought it was pretty ugly at first but it doesn't bother me any more. This is on a short bed. The stake pockets on the long bed are not hidden so it will sit flush in the front just like it does on the rear. I reached out to BullRing and they didn't even know about this issue so they didn't have any solutions to make it sit flush. I'm sure with more time and effort I could devise a way to make the fronts sit flush but I didn't want to start cutting more of the bedrail and screw something up. I just used a drill to get the hole started and then cut the pocket with a Dremel on low speed so it didn't melt the plastic. A box knife worked equally well.

I don't think they have been anywhere close to big enough for a 2x4 for many decades...if ever.

They are more like 1 5/8 x 2 1/4. I suspect there was a standard fence or survey stake that was that size. I still see wood side rails a foot or so high used old school around when farm trucks are loaded up with hay or straw , brush, scrap metal, and of course livestock.

If it's bales of course they would just be in the way.

About the size of a standard 2×3 perhaps?
