Powerboost squeak

My truck started the squeak when going from gas to electric. Sounds like a rusty spring under the truck. Terrible thing when you only have 5,000 miles Does anyone know what the cause is and what’s the fix for this ?

I have the same. I took it in and the dealer checked the other ones on the lot and they all had the same noise. He said it seems that it’s normal although doesn’t sound right.
Glad you posted as I was struggling with how to describe it.

It’s not normal. Mine didn’t do that when it was new. It’s a problem that I am afraid dealers are going to try to slip it by us. With only 5000 miles I shouldn’t have any problems.
the other problem is they never have time to truly find and fix the issue. They might throw some parts at it and hope it fixes the problem however this just causes more problems.
I sure hope I can get my problems FIXED and like this truck.

All that is, is a Ford 'bot. I have yet to read on here that anything has ever come from those contacts. All it accomplishes is it makes you think Ford cares. The Ram 5th gen site has a similar deal. Just a bot that plugs in a request that never goes anywhere... My opinion. Yours may differ....

I only have 1300 miles and it’s aggravating. Sounds like a coat hanger getting drug, every time I leave a light.

I seem to hear it going between 1-2 gears as well. Single clang of metal on metal

I put the on off device for the alien hum we have below 30mph and really started hearing that creak. Guess thats a normal thing, regen brakes maybe? Dont like it though.

What on/off device are you talking about anyway? My 21 Ecoboost I could turn the auto start/stop off but my 22 Powerboost I can not. Am I missing a setting that I can change ?

This is what @Iconic22F150 is talking about. You unplug the harness connector to the pedestrian speaker and plug this into it. Then insert the cap and no more BEEP BEEP BWRRRERRRR noises from the truck.

My truck does not beep at all while driving forward in electric. Only in reverse.

The pedestrian sounder beeps when in reverse and makes a gods awful fake engine sound up to 20-25 mph. One of the first paid mods I did on mine was the speaker bypass.
