So while pulling my empty trailer today, my engine light started flashing. Coming up to a stop sign I noticed the trucks idle was rough. Pulled off and shut the truck down. Restarted the truck and all was fine. My FordPass did have a couple of codes. One for a misfire on cylinder 7, and one for a cylinder deactivation system malfunction on cylinder 7. Anyone else have this before?

I’m curious. Did it ever do it again? Did you take it to the dealer?

Truck has not done it since. I haven’t taken it to the dealer yet since it has been good. I will have them address it at the next oil change as I had another issue with the vent system that a shutdown and restart fixed as well.

Other than issue, have you ever even noticed the deactivation system? Most comments I’ve seen have been that you can’t even feel it when it kicks in and out.

I can definitely notice it. It used to be much less pronounced. I added the quietest magnaflow system and you can hear it 100%. Since running E85 in my last couple of tanks, you can actually feel it now. Next tank will be back to regular to see if it becomes less pronounced again.
