Thank you for sharing. Love the rubber flooring! And we get snazzy rims too? No shiny bumpers is ok with me, and vinyl seats can be covered. Although I’m still hoping that they’ll offer cloth for a reasonable upcharge. Pro it is for me.
I’m surprised the vinyl seats look so nice. I stopped by a dealer today and peeked in the cabins of the heavy duty trucks and was again surprised the vinyl looked so nice. Is it uncomfortable? It’s easy to clean with kids, so what’s the biggest downside?

Biggest downside is they get hot. I have the vinyl seats (and vinyl flooring) in my Ford transit connect and my back gets super sweaty from it. Doesn’t happen with the non perforated 100% leather kit from katzkin. The other downside is they tend to be prone to cracking in sub freezing temperatures. Easy to wipe and clean but the combination of rubber flooring and vinyl seats will give off an unpleasant smell (at least my experience with my work transit connect van).
All that said, I’m still ordering a pro.

Why would it need one? Seems to me like they could just step down the main battery voltage and distribute it among the electronics/lights with a control module.
Most if not all EV’s have a 12 volt battery.

Most if not all EV’s have a 12 volt battery.
All EVs with any amount of automation will have TWO 12V sources. One will be from a 12V battery and the other will be from the DC2DC converter.

Wierd that they would have 2 different tailgates. The one on the pro and xlt is from the ICE truck, but with the lightbar, the entire design of the tailgate is different as it is not a straight line going down.
I think I am one of the few on here thats looking to go towards the platinum. I own and run a small farm so need a truck, but also want something nice as a daily driver as I also work a full time job off the farm. Can't bring myself to buy an ICE truck as the gas mileage is crap!

We’ve always had two vehicles in the family, just got the PB so the Pro works nicely for our daily driver. The PB for extended trips and to pull the Toy hauler up in the mountains to play. Sure hope the price of the Pro remains as advertised.

Thanks for pointing that out, I missed it. Will be harder for an aftermarket solution to replace the light bar then.

Also looks like the Pro is missing the Lightning bolt and flag emblem on the bottom right of the tailgate, not sure about the XLT

Love the photos. Thanks for sharing. I am surprised how good Pro looks.

My preferences may not be in line with majority but I like somethings about pro more than I do about higher trims. The smaller (but not small) screen looks better integrated than the giant tablet slapped on the higher trims.

All the white lights Ford is so proud of bugs the crap out of me. Pro has less of it so that is a plus for me. If I got a pro, especially If I get a darker color, I will try to figure out a way to get rid of all the white lights or somehow make them a little less in your face. A good cloth seat option would be nice. Everything else looks mighty nice.

I also noticed the different tailgate. I've been wondering what it would look like without the light bar, and it makes perfect sense that it would just be the ICE version of the tailgate. Looks like the taillights are slightly different, too. The Lariat & Platinum version has centrally-mounted reverse lights. The Pro and XLT version has them in the taillight cluster, in the area that those side tabs on the upper trims cover up. Personally, I prefer the look of the simpler, lower trim/ICE style tailgate - which is good because I'm planning on an XLT+.

Specific to these photos, the frunks both have a power strip and extension cord coming out from under the panels. I suspect they're using the main battery to charge up the smaller 12V battery - which is probably draining because they're keeping the trucks constantly powered on during the showings. Why they're routing them behind the panels instead of just showing off the in-frunk power outlets, I have no idea.

They’re working hard to cut costs and increase margin. But to me, that means that if they don’t offer the work surface/integrated step tailgate as an available upgrade on the Pro, I could swap it with the standard ICE tailgate to do the upgrade myself.
Do they sell full tailgates direct from Ford? Or will only option be to salvage one off a totaled truck at a junkyard?

I couldn't agree more! I keep trying to tell myself I can live without the extended range battery and settle for the Pro. But in the back of my mind, if I ever have to tow something up to a camping area, I worry I will regret not having the extended battery.
Not sure this applies to you guys, but there are indications that the extended range battery will only be available to actual fleet owners. The average consumer like me who uses it for work won't be able to order the bigger battery unless we choose XLT. So it looks like I'm going XLT - don't want leather in my work truck!

Every EV has a 12-volt battery to power the dash displays and accessories. It's far easier, from an integration standpoint, to add a 12v battery than "break into" the power train high voltage battery.
