My 2023 F150 build delay

FYI Ford admitted this week that trucks marked built may still be missing parts and on hold. Dealer told me they believe that is going on and I received confirmation from Ford HQ

I wouldn’t be surprised! I had that suspicion too after reading threads from earlier builds. I was surprised mine was built as quick as it was. I initially thought I would order fall and take delivery in spring. We shall see how this plays out.

My order is still on material hold, (7/23) the only option that I can see holding it up is 360 active(BC) every other option has been built on other vehicles.

I've been on "Material Hold" since 10/04 due to Blue Cruise - Probably going to keep it and just wait. From what I've been told it's the only way you can get front parking sensors? If anyone can disprove that I might adjust my order.

I got it confirmed that there are no chips for the BlueCruise part of Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0. My rep said I could delete just that and it would get scheduled but I'm confirming the other features of Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0 will still remain because those options (like lane centering and adaptive cruise) are pretty nice and still desired.

Co-Pilot360 Assist gives you adaptive cruise, not sure about lane centering. I believe so but not sure.

Assist gives you lane centring , active adds blue cruise.

blue cruise does not work on a lot of roads yet , I would skip it and get it on the next one …

It’s only been 45 days since I ordered but I’m holding out until they have everything I spec’ed on the truck. I have a ‘21 so I’m in no rush.

this is just their stock email. Basically telling you - 'we still have your email but have no news'

I received the default email and then 7 days later, truck was completed and shipped the following week. Still waiting for delivery.

I have an 502A with Co-Pilot Assist. It includes front and rear parking sensors, lane centering, and adaptive cruise control.

Online ordering it allows it so I think the order guide I have just is mistaken or the chip shortage has forced their hand into allowing it.

You guys seem to be getting your trucks built sooner than anticipated.
I ordered my 22 in March. And then had to reordered a 23 in Sept. Still no VIN or anything.
I ordered lariat bap with power steps besides that ive order no other bells or whistles. Good luck everybody

It's all about the dealer. I ordered in May and had to re-order in October. In May I went through a local dealer. In October I went through Granger.

If you cannot make the trek to Iowa for a great deal through Granger, then check the volume of trucks being sold at your local dealer. That is where the rubber meets the road.
