Hi Gh8toes
I have a 2023 Powerboost and it has been perfect. I have 25K miles with about 5K towing a 7K TT. If you do not plan to tow, then this truck is perfect from my point of view. I have a small hobby farm with horses, goats , etc and the 7.2KW generator has been very useful in...
No, I have not. I have also had intermittent issues with remote start via the ford pass app. This is at my home with excellent cell coverage. I had to use the key fob for remote start. Something is definitely going on with the app.
Anyone else having this issue? I had no problem 3 months ago on my last oil change, but I can no longer upload my self service receipts to document oil changes, etc.
The message I get is: “ Your receipt did not upload. Please try again later.”
I have been trying for the past 3 weeks, but no...
Just so you know, the idiot gauges typically do not move, even though your transmission and coolant temps are rising, quickly. I have had my engine coolant close to 240F and idiot gauge was still dead center - the same place it sits when coolant is at 195-200. This is the same with the...
I also have the new iPhone 15 and I get intermittent disconnects wired. Since I run OBDMx+, on long trips, I need to be plugged in, so I do not know if the issue is iPhone 15 or the new update. Both happened to occur about the same time.
not sure. I have not seen multiple profile capabilities, but it does not mean it is not in there. I would like this capability as well. But, I have not had time to really research it. Documentation provided with purchase is quite limited.
It should. OBDII started in 1996, though I do not know what specific support for your car. You can email them. They are very quick with responses.
There are less expensive, OBDII readers you can get from Harbor Freight that work well for diagnostic codes, if you don’t plan to use the full...
I also love the PB. It has been everything I had imagined. I have a small farm and a house in the mountains. The ability to have electricity on demand at any location is amazing, ability to boon-dock with my TT makes camping a completely new experience for me and my wife ( we go for privacy...
Has anyone been able to determine how much cooler the engine coolant is during towing without the louvers or at least a majority removed? Extended warm times are not that much of a concern. I have the engine block heater for the really cold days. I do not need to remove all of them, but I...
I just completed a 3 hour drive up to Appalachian Mountains in western MD, towing a horse trailer full of wood ( 1.5 cord), trailer weight was 8100 lbs.
using recommendations from others in this forum, I stayed in 7th gear on the flats and 5th or 6th on climbs, depending on the coolant temp...
With one Spring and summer camping season completed, I will share my experiences.
26’ TT, 6500 total TT fully loaded, 12520 GCVWR per CAT scales. Only run 93 when towing
Elevation change, tow speed and wind greatly affect fuel mileage. Example, last week 150 mile tow to the ocean average...
I have been using the generator mode for my camping excursions a lot lately. I have noticed moisture leaking out of the front of the muffler (see attached video), but had not noticed previously- likely because most of my trips have been in a wooded setting and this trip was next to the ocean on...
I do hear a fan running on mine as well, but have not opened the hood to check if is engine fan or some other cooling fan for electronics. Sounds like it is coming from driver’s side. Mine is 2023.
I use the same adapter for my TT (see below). Is their any way to access the full 7200W for powering more stuff in the travel trailer? I am assuming no, since TT is 120V, which is using one leg of the 240V from the PB
30 Amp Generator to RV Power Adapter,4-Prong 125/250V Male Locking Plug to...
18”, I have Goodyear AT. They are quiet on the highway, average in the snow up to 6”. Best to throw some weight in the bed if you are expecting to drive in snow. That certainly helped me heading to my mountain cabin.
With that said, I am not impressed in hydroplane resistance in heavy rain...
Thanks for the input. Certainly, a tongue scale would be nice, but I do not have one and don’t know of anyone that does. The truck and trailer are perfectly level, no sway. I think I will try the suggestion to load more into the trailer (coolers, ice, clothes, etc) and less in the truck (just...
Yes, I have a PB and the TT is not empty, but well stocked. The TT has quite a large payload capacity. I have zero issues towing, no sway and the setup is perfectly level. Technically, I think I have additional payload available in the TT and I can adjust the WDH to keep my PB Payload in...
