I am going with the standard one. I don't see the necessity for UV protection when I plan on having tonneau cover on my bed all the time.
Any thoughts on that?
This was my rationale as well. I've scheduled a standard spray-in for February when I take ownership. They're installing one of their Truck Gear tonneaus when I'm there.

Got ya.
Regarding the bolts - was it just the look that you don't like (chrom bolts on black spray-in), or is there something else I should know about, technical issues, leaks, etc?

I am also in shiny and hot areas, now you make me question myself. I still have a few days to think about it.
To me they look like ugly gray galvanized bolts over a pretty and shinny black background. Just an eyesore. Kinda like booty acne. Just gross. LOL - but that's me.

Had the Premium liner sprayed yesterday. When I picked it up it was dark and raining so I couldn't really inspect it. This morning I found some overspray or dried spray dust on a few painted areas on all three sides of the bed and was able to get it all off with some grease remover. The only place I couldn't ironically was the brand new license plate I installed Monday. It isn't that bad, but noticeable up close. Man I should have kept the temp tag on it another day. I am getting the reverse brake system not available message in the instrument cluster and have an appointment with the dealer next week. One thing of note is that this liner is smoother to the hand than the Chevy factory spray I had on my 2019 Silverado. That thing was like sandpaper. This is smooth and things will slide so much easier. I really like this so much better. I also now notice a crazy gap between the tailgate and the bed at the bottom and can see the ground with the black and white contrast. I don't recall seeing this air gap on the Silverado. A few pics:

In the bottom corner, you can see the control joint cut in the concrete driveway through the air gap.

Can you please clarify which corners and gaps are you referring to?
Because I noticed in my bed there is a gap between the bed walls and the tailgate. The gap looks "normal", even on both sides, however you can clearly see inside the bed through it, as you can see in the pics below (you can see my finger inside the bed, this is on the right side). Is this normal or is something missing?

I should add that the tailgate opens and closes without a problem and it is flash even with the bed's back sides. Meaning - if you are not "searching" for the gap, everything looks normal. It is visible because the bed is white and not sprayed yet, I suppose once the spray is in, it will be less noticeable, but I am just worried something is wrong with it with such a gap.

Ford sells an aftermarket seal specifically for that gap.
Of course they do... [sarcasm]. Bastards. I mean, why would it come with the truck....

TBH, I don't even think a seal would help. It probably will in the grean area in the pic below (and along the bottom), but where the red arrow is - there is nothing there, nothing to attach it to. It's the top of the tailgate and there is nothing between that and the bed.

Are these areas where the seal goes sprayed when you spray-in the bed? If so, most likely the seal won't stick to that.

OP: Dude, that was a great write-up and just what I needed To know.

If I can’t find someone that good in Tampa, I’ll take a drive over to Daytona. Thanks!
Had mine done in Tampa, opting for the Regular coating for $550 (Premium was an additional $150

They explained the different options first. All hardware was removed or covered. I opted to have the bedbolts coated, as well, as Ford considers them “one-time use.” Apparently, the bottom bed bolts must be replaced with new ones if removed. You sign the waiver if you want them removed and replaced with the original bolts.

I like the look of the coated bolts so we’ll see how it goes in the long-term.

Here’s the pamphlet with some info on the different types. I don’t recall hearing about the Platinum version.

You got a great price for that Line-X OP! I just had mine done a couple days ago at Renegade Customs in Rockwall, TX. They did great work but I paid $650 out the door. And that was after a $50 discount applied for a seasonal special.

The seal does work - it does not seal the gap line, but behind it. Not very expensive - $29 - and a lot of folks would prefer that area stay open - folks who use their pickups as work trucks see their bed as "external" to the truck - a routine washdown location, so if we want to make it a sealed box, that's probably on us. In fact, if Ford had sealed it with their tailgate bed seal as standard, it would fill up like a pool without a tonneau (except for the designed-in gaps and drain elsewhere).

Link to the seal here, pic below:

Has anyone done a Line-X color match bed liner on your new F-150? I did one on my 2002 Ruby Red F-150 and it looked really good.
