Is Google Maps Fullscreen on 12" display using Apple CarPlay possible?

Is fullscreen display of the Google Maps app possible with Apple CarPlay? I never use the cards on the side, so fullscreen Google Maps would be nice.

It is available on an update that I know the 2023's and possible 2022's have recently gotten.

Not been a fan of CarPlay until this update. With the moving satellite map it feels more like flying than driving. Situational awareness really changes. You can see what is the back of a tree line or other obstruction as you drive alone. It must use a ton of data but now that I have Starlink In Motion in the PowerBoost I am going to leave it on for navigating.

How are you enabling fullscreen google maps on yours? It isn't obvious to me.

Must you be Wi-Fi connected or usb connected? I’m using BT only and am on IOS 16.3.1 with Ford Sync 4.22192 Rev 498. I don’t see the resize option.
