I picked up my Agate Black Premium on Xmas eve. A few days after Xmas drove it from the SF Bay Area to Tucson and then back a couple weeks later so needless to say I got a lot of quality highway driving time. I can unequivocally say that this is the best vehicle I have ever owned and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Here are a few takeaways:
Nits/complaints:
Excellent truck. I spend most of my time finding excuses to drive it

- I don't have a heavy foot and watched my MPG fairly closely. My average was just over 18 MPG for both trips. This is with the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost. I did notice a significant reduction in MPG when increasing my speed over 70 MPH. I would guess that if I had maintained a slower speed (~65 MPH) then I could have gotten closer to 22 MPG on the highways.
- The interior is incredibly nice and it is clear that Ford increased their investment. Fit, finish and quality of materials are all a step up.
- Co-pilot 360 is super nice. The lane centering is so good that the truck basically drives itself, especially when combined with the adaptive cruise control
- Seat massagers are amazing. Not sure I can ever take another vehicle on a road trip. Seats in general are very comfortable, including the back seats. The middle back seat can be a little hard on the lower back due to the fold-up cup holder.
Nits/complaints:
- The 12" screen is great but you cannot maximize most views, including CarPlay. The righthand side of the screen is also consumed by a type of shortcut view which limits the amount of space displaying CarPlay. You can maximize the view when using Ford's navigation software.
- The parking break lever is backwards. Pulling up turns the break on and pushing down turns it off. Not sure why they didn't just stick with how vehicles have worked for decades.
- Lane centering can be overly sensitive and just having your hands on the wheel is not sufficient. I had to often jerk the wheel to turn of the warning chime. Thankfully the warning chime isn't overly obnoxious.
- Zone lighting is very cool, but I haven't been able to figure out how to turn on the bed light without starting the engine. I was packing the bed at night and wanted to turn on the light, but didn't want to burn a bunch of fuel. I ended up using my head lamp instead.
Excellent truck. I spend most of my time finding excuses to drive it
