I am not sure what brand they were but I saw someone get squirrelly at work and my buddy bounced the guys face off the plastic guard. The plastic guard shattered but the tape still held the remaining guard on the vehicle.

this was during the winter time so they shattered easily but I was still impressed with the tape.

I am not sure how will external stick on will hold up over time though.
I have had AVS vent Shades on the last 4 trucks of mine and 2 company trucks, all stick on. I have never had one come off. THe company trucks were well into the 400,000 km range and the personal trucks were into the 200,000 km range. All went through automatic car washes on a regular bases. They use a 3M tape that works great.

AVS low profile, stick on, have had them on last 4-5 trucks. look great and work the way I want. Window down a little in summer to keep the heat/rain out when parked

The AVS are now a ford accessory.
I had them on my ‘18 without any issue and then used the points from the purchase on my ‘21 to get them from ford. only difference is theres no branding on the ford ones.

Have weathertech ones, work great, no issues at all, love em. They mount inside window via wedge it in. No tape highly recommended
I have the weather tech inside channel visors and they work great.

I really like deflectors without any branding on them, but it pains me to pay double (Ford points or no Ford points) compared to the AVS branded ones (they are like $50 on carid.com; the Ford ones are $109, assuming these are the ones).

I live in Florida and will almost never drive with windows open. Other than allowing you to crack the windows when parked, do these provide any other benefit?

They allow for air when parked and if raining, allow the window to be opened. Where I am, I run with he window opened as much as I can. Rain, snow what ever the weather.

Like the little storm we are having now.

As @Kanuck said - allows driving with the window slightly open when it's raining, in addition to leave them cracked open when parked in hot locations like FL.
I also like driving with my windows open whenever possible.
