Nope. Didn’t want to buy a whole new mirror. Used some Gorilla Patch and Seal (very thick black waterproof tape) just to seal it for water getting in. Doesn’t look THAT bad 😬
Was still thinking about making something up with a sheet of plastic that would match better…
I used the Nano to do all my updates (because I'm cheap). However it has some big issues:
Can brick the CCM during update (I don't have a CCM on my 302A)
corrupted data often happens during a Network Scan (so you would want to avoid running one which makes the whole process take longer as you...
Yeah every time I get in the truck it tells me it failed and will retry. Fordpass shows it as a pending update.
I may just have to go the FDRS route again and bring my truck fully up to date rather than depend on OTAs...
I did with FDRS back in May 2022. I've received a couple OTA updates since then but was stuck waiting for the fullscreen carplay update like a lot of people. Then was pushed this 2.1.0 somehow.
Will airbags help you tow that load better than with no airbags? Yes, very likely.
Will airbags increase your payload capacity by 500? No.
Also... PowerBoost was not available with the HDPP so not sure what that payload package option you saw was but it wasn't HDPP.
I wish. Decent size crack and then a piece fell off ha.
Yeah was starting to look like there is no way to just get the cover from Ford. Not great as the whole mirror itself is $$$.
So PTS with connectors here.
No console (jump seat) so just want to do the front floor lamps. Do I need the harness? Or which wire do I need to order to go with the 2 lamps?
Is there a separate part for the outside bottom cover of the tow mirrors? Hit something and cracked it... searched but can only find top caps or the whole thing.
This part:
regardless of the seal quality or if you just got a lemon basically the screen showing the same poor pixelated resolution (whether the camera itself is actually much higher or not) pretty much kills this product at over $200...
In the link the example photos of the original vs upgrade views both still look terrible. Even if the resolution is increased it still looks bad on the screen there (yes its likely harder to see in a photo but its still not a high res looking picture)
it looks like the KA switch has the rounded edge on the left and my RA switch has a flat edge. Strange but I guess both work and it didn't look out of place until now haha 🤷♂️
