My '21 F-150 STX is more quiet than my '20 Jaguar E-Pace. 2.7 ecoboost, crew cab, 4x4, no sunroof.

My platinum is extremely quiet, I find myself turning off the cooled seats as the blower from them is the loudest thing in the cab.

I noticed that the windshield on my 2021 Limited states that is is sound-deadening glass. I find that this new truck is noticeably quieter than my 2018 was.

When I had the windshield replaced on my previous truck (Chev 2500HD) I asked the installers if the glass was like the OEM 'sound deadening' glass. They told me that the only difference between sound deadening and regular glass is not the thickness of the glass but rather the thickness of the clear membrane sandwiched between the glass. Just a little tidbit of info.

Agreed! It’s so quiet I can’t hear it running or feel any vibration sitting at idle. I’m so impressed that the base model XL with 20in wheels is so quiet going down the road or highway. My shell with roof racks does cause wind resistance but otherwise it’s in whisper mode.

Have my 21 for 6 months now with standard mirrors. The driver side sounds like I have a window or door partially opened, which is not the case. Pulled the mirror, in no noise. Pushed it back out. Sounds like I'm in a Cessna plane. Gonna get the towing mirrors asap.

Thinking of ordering a 2022 next spring when our current car is paid off. I really want to treat myself to a luxury ride under $70k if possible. im thinking a Lariat with 502a, twin panel moonroof, 6.5’ bed, crew cab but want to know how quiet is the cabin at highway speed? Our current car (stock Subaru Legacy) is so noisy that you can’t have a conversation with the passenger in the back seat without raising your voice a lot. I’ve looked at the Ram 1500 limited but love the look of the F-150 more.
My new 2022 XLT 302A is tremendously quiet. World of difference with my 2014. Part of that are the KO2 AT tires on the 2014.

Super quiet. It has double pane glass and is body on frame, as opposed to unibody. It’s even far quieter than my previous S-class Benz, which had a ton of noise from the big AMG wheels and low profile tires.
Where is the double pane glass used? Side windows or windshield? Is that the "Soundscreen" windshield?

it's much quieter than the 2012 Sierra I came from. There is some mirror wind noise though once you get above 40mph or so.
