IIRC the BLUE high beam light indicates your are on the normal auto high beams
glare free does not place the blue high beam icon above the green icons in my truck with glare free turned on
did you try cycling the stalk to make sure the auto high beam was off or the high beams were not on, as indicated by the icon
something is still amiss

Did you notice I had both the green and blue in my picture? When the blue came on the lights weren’t any brighter than when they were off.

I did turn glare free off and on. Switched from right to left and did a reset in Forscan.

When you dropped below 22 MPH, did the blue high beam indicator go off?

When I was on the highway it came on and off with no reason. Always over 50. I don’t remember it coming on at all once I got into the city and off the highway.

I also did a pmi in FDRS right before this for a different issue I was working through with Jesse

I believe that even when you have glare-free enabled you can still manually toggle the high beams by pushing the turn signal stalk forward until it locks. Did you make sure you did not have the high beams on accidentally by pulling the stalk back toward you into the normal position?

I did try that. When I did, the green a icon also turned off.

If the A turns off when the stalk is in the normal position it sounds like that last SCCM change you made might have messed up the glare-free function. I’d switch it back and see if that fixes the problem.

I made the change from 4 to 3.

I got the same blue icon above the green auto icon. It appears to me that whenever the highland are active, the blue light is on. I did notice the John brand ramp when a car passed and the side that was dimmed came back full. When the beans turned off, the blue light turned off. When they first came on, it was instant. I can still turn the high beams manually by using the stem.. I'm going to leave it a 3 till I can test more. It was foggy on my ride home and made it a little difficult to test.

Unfortunately you aren’t close enough or I would let you borrow mine. I would put your name on the list for the free loaners on here. Also keep your eye on the marketplace here and Facebook marketplace. I got mine on FB for $225 by setting an alert and jumping on one as soon as it popped up.
Appreciate the kind gesture. Yeah I was thinking of getting on the waiting list…but may just be better off getting one I can use whenever.
Never thought of getting a used one. No risk of getting a broken one? Haha

this is what i used for glare free
i am sure you double checked it. 4 works for me in the sccm
your icons are ODD in the IP. glare free turns off the blue icon, unless you cycle the cycle the stalk
sometimes turning off truck will not clear your last cycle
wish i was closer as well to help if i could
do you have any DTCS showing up?

Here are the changes required for Glare Free headlights. There are multiple modules that need to be changed so it’s not the easiest mod.
Glare Free Menu (replaces Auto High beam) in APIM:

APIM
7D0-09-01 x1xx xxxx
7D0-09-03 xxCx xxxx
Note: a module reset in FORScan or power cycle is required for the menu to appear.
IPMA
706-01-01 xxxx xxx9
SCCM
724-04-01 xxx4 xxxx
IPC
720-01-01 xx8x xxxx
720-10-01 xxxx xxx3
HCM
734-01-01 xxxx xx01
734-01-02 x3xx xxxx

Perform one of the below in HCM depending on the specs of your truck:
Short bed No onboard scales / ccd
734-01-04 xx53 4E
Short bed with scales / ccd or Raptor
734-01-04 xx56 D1
Long bed no scales / ccd
734-01-04 xxD9 88
Long bed with scales / ccd
734-01-04 xxDC 17

Half the problem is how for labels their features. From why I’ve gathered.

Glare Free = Blocks out a part of the headlamp that would blind on coming traffic.

Adaptive Dynamic Bending = The movement of the headlight at turns

I can’t find ramping/dimming High beam to technically be a part of either although we know the setting is in the HCM. So realistically you could probably have non glare free ADB with ramping/dimming Highbeam.

In addition, it seems like ADB (FORScan seems to refer to it as Adaptive Driving Beam) and glare-free are not mutually exclusive technologies. You can have both working at the same time.

I used mine the day after I received it to make sure it worked fine. I usually only buy things from people who have sold at least a few other items and have some good reviews and have a somewhat normal looking FB profile. With shipped items, FB handles the payments so I’m sure you could file a dispute if needed.
