Does anyone else other than myself have the dome light not come on when the door is opened? The light comes on with the overhead switches but not the door. 2021 XLT 302a

There is an interior light defeat switch in the switch console on the headliner (for most models). This prevents interior lights from coming on when the door(s) are opened.

If this is something that just started to occur 'for no reason', your 12v battery bus voltage is low. Ford won't actually put a proper charging voltage on the system. It instead trickle charges the 12v batteries at 12.85v.

Good luck reading the icons on those buttons.
Agreed. I’d just look for anything that’s lit yellow, all the light buttons should be lit blue if you want the interior lights on when the doors open.

Thanks BLoflin. I found the switch on the console and the dome light works now. For some reason I thought this yellow light was not a switch. It's a good thing I'm not a rocket surgeon.

Thanks for pointing out the yellow light. I thought that was a permanent light for something and not a switch.

I normally open the moonroof, turn on each side light, lock out the dome light, and hit every other button when trying to quickly find the dome light switch in the dark. Probably the worst design I've seen for a dome light.
