Thought you all might get a chuckle out of the dealer collision paint job on my fender replacement after a deer strike. Overall their body and trim guys did a good job on fit/finish, it’s just their paint guy who smoked too much meth that day I guess?

Someone also scraped/damaged the side mirror while it was parked waiting for parts. Why not just fix the liable accident? You’re literally a body shop. Nothing surprises me anymore about just how little pride and workmanship goes into anything.

Absolutely not! I’ve got it scheduled for warranty paint correction on Thursday. I was just shocked that they’d try to give that to a customer like that!
ray charles painted my 1992 f250
he got dove grey all over the red strip, chrome and windows
all from a chain drop on the hood when they unloaded it
ended up doing weeks worth of work to get it right
no reason paint shops to do shody work, it shows up like a you know what
those runs are pure lazy lazy lazy.

place near us i have used twice, guarantees his work for as long as you have the car
he fixed both of these vehicles, the 2013 had most of front end metal replaced from crazy walmart shopper
exp had rear qtr rebuilt after a guy hit me at a stop sign

Goes to show I’m sure they would have pulled the wool over some poor soul that didn’t fight back, good on ya!

I don’t really trust anyone anymore it’s pretty sad

I even put a dab of whatever paint I have lying around on my oil filter before I go to the dealer for a change just so I absolutely know it was swapped (have had previous bad experience with big box lube shops)

In your after picture, you're calling the fit and finish good? Look how it sticks out from the curve. Course it could have been like that from the factory these days.

Deer suck.

Absolutely. Ditch rats. I did a lot of comparison between the undamaged side and their repair and everything looks identical. Maybe not if I broke out my micrometer but ‘good enough’ IMO. There’s a slight gap difference between the hood and the headlamp and I’m having them look at that as well. Probably about 1/8” diff and likely the headlamp having been slightly pulled downward by the impact.
