Changes in truck without getting OTA's

My truck is stuck on the 1.7.1 OTA since December. Just now, I was in my truck, it muted the radio until I hooked up the seat belt and gave me a window in the dash informing me of that. First time it's done that in 10 months. I'm old school and always turn to check behind me when backing out of my driveway, so I don't hook my seatbelt until I start driving forward down the road. I've had other things change since December, that are suppose to be in later updates than 1.7.1. such as larger Icons in the radio, What's going on? Last time my truck was in for an update under TSB 21-2117 was two weeks ago and it was unsuccessful.

Mine does that every once and awhile too. Still haven't gotten 1.7.1 install either.

I’ve had changes without a notification. For instance, the gps started indicating directions in the instrument cluster.
