Well guys, just got a call from dealership. Said my invoice along with spare key & mso jacket was on his desk. He said didn't see in receiving lot and thought they might be prepping it already ?

Finally came in ! 10 days to Bakersfield from KC plant. No rust at all. Time for a 3" lift & some 33's

Well, I finally got my truck and I am loving it!

No issues so far. I have spent probably 20 hours learning the Sync 4, the infotainment system, programming my preferences, etc.

Here are the final stats on the time expired from the order date to dealer pick-up

order to scheduled build = 106 days
build to train loading = 21 days
train in transit = 8 days
wait time at train yard for delivery truck = 3 days
truck delivery to dealer = 5 days
dealer prep time = 3 days
total time = order to deliver = 146 days

Here are the specific milestones

10/8/20: order confirmed
10/8/20 - 12/1/20: in order processing
12/1/20: received VIN from dealer
12/1/20: build scheduled for week of Feb 1 2021
12/1/20 - 1/22/21: still in order processing
1/22/21: build scheduled for Feb 4 2021
1/28/21: sent to plant (build kit and/or work order sent?)
2/6/21: built
2/11/21: released to body company (for bed liner application?)
2/11/21: awaiting shipment
2/13/21: in transit, originating from Muncie KS (UP rail car# TTGX991908)

BTW, your dealer should be able to provide you your equipment # for the train car that your truck will be transported on if coming Union Pacific to Cali. Once you have that number, call Union Pacific's tracking service at 1-800-877-5123 to track your truck from the factory to the final destination in Cali.

My build schedule slipped 2 weeks to the week of April 5th.
KC to San Diego. Long way to go still...

There are 2 plants (Dearborn and KC) and there are 2 railyards Ford uses in Cali (Benicia for NoCal and Mira Loma for SoCal). So there are 4 possible combinations here if that matters to the variability.

I was only tracking NoCal from Dearborn deliveries (to try to predict mine). I saw minimum 11 days from ship to "magically appear at dealer lot". I had 2 retail orders to 2 different dealerships (long story) and one took 16 days and one took 14.

If this post is referring to TOTAL time from ordering, well that is all over the map. Could be <2 months, but others are still waiting that ordered over the summer. It is mostly luck based on your dealer's allocations, and whether your order has a supply constraint that week.
