Hello everyone, I know the last thing we needed was another write up on this process but I had a few guys on Facebook ask me for one, so below is my version of the write up. Tried to be pretty thorough with the process, or at least as thorough as I can be from memory, haha.

Huge shout out to superfordman, your ACC file is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Awesome work man, looks great!

this is the parts I needed for my truck
SoftwareForscan + OBDII reader
CCMML3A-9E731-G
HarnessML3Z-15K867-MA
Steering Wheel SwitchML3Z-9C888-DA
ScrewsM6x25 flange bolts

on the harness list avoid the first 4. trust me i made that mistake. i ended up going with what the @superfordman suggested which was the MA.

check the back of you IPMA which is located under the steering wheel behind the driver side cover for the 4 wires. if you're lucky you they should be there.

and the spread sheet for all the changes to be done on forscan is located under @superfordman 's profile.

I'm actually checking the same thing before I order the harness for my truck... Here's a video at the point where they check at 2:42 of video

I'm here to report that the CCM, Harness and programming was successful on my 1st try thanks to @superfordman and @Jesse-Infotainment for all their hard work and information.

choosing the right options for programing took about an hour
CCM install took about 2.5 hours by myself. harness was the longest. not hard but annoying
steering wheel switch was about 10 min
forscanning was another 5 minutes
calibration took about 20-25 minutes of driving (successful on the 1st try)
and to put the cherry on top i didn't have to let the truck sleep over it overnight. the ACC and lane centering started working right away. i can't wait to use it on the hwy and longer drives
while i had all of my tools out i also installed the raptor transmission skid plate and removed the air dam

All the parts came in and I'm about to get started on my 2023 XLT. Thanks for the writeup and all of the detailed notes so far.

When I looked under driver side at wires I didn't see the 4 required so I suspect I have to splice wires. I’m about to take bumper off and one last check to see if I have to splice wires, use harness I bought or if I my 2023 xlt already has the plug for ccm. What 4 pins here?

Can anyone confirm by looking at my pins for c134 above before I go straight from ccm to ipma. I definitely am missing the 4 wires at driver side kick panel Ipma (c265) so it looks like I’m going straight from the ccm to ipma .i bought the harness just in case since some 301a xlt had it . Here’s my c265 confirming no pre-wired support for ccm

See post #869 from @superfordman on page 58. You appear to have all the necessary pins to use the bumper harness.

Thank you, I was just about to take the harness that i bought and retro fit it to go straight to the IPMA from CCM. I wasn't sure since I was missing the 4 wires in the C265 plug when I pulled the passenger kick panel and looked again. Is the CCM connected via the harness in a different place then? I guess I should have looked at the passenger side as well

ok, so even if I'm missing the 4 wires in kick panel these 4 wires will work. I took another picture just to be sure to compare with superfordman's post

See my post #678 on page 46. I'm not sure that your looking at the IPMA harness in your picture above.

Hey @superfordman and @Jesse-Infotainment, how long does it take for my truck to tell mothership that it now has a CCM module? I finally bought a mongoose cable and I want to install some updates but I want to do it when CCM is registered (does CCM get updates?) or it doesn't work like that? I checked the ABD and it doesn't show the CCM (764) yet.

Thank you for verifying this. I think I’m gonna keep the existing harness and just splice into the 4 wires. Seems easier than removing existing harness and connecting new one

dang… thank you for that detail. I think I may have been looking at the wrong one like you said for the passenger kick panel c265. I’m going to go check. I definitely do in fact have the 4 correct color wires in the ipma connector . I ended up taking a break at 3am last night and going back through all the notes and print outs I have. Thank you for your help I am very grateful
