I have a 2021 F150 King Ranch with the hybrid Ecoboost engine. Driving the other day and the "Service Engine Soon Light" wrench illuminated.
The transmission felt like it was slipping, truck would not go into hybrid mode, and cruise control would not turn on. We were 40 minutes away from home on the way out of town. Turned around to switch cars. I shut off the egine, re-packed and started the truck again to move it and the problem went away.
These are the faults from my Ford Pass Account:
Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power Error
Pre- Collision Asist not available
Drove a good amount yesterday and the problem has not returned. Truck is fine.
Any ideas? Bringing to dealer today to have it looked at. However, with no faults, I am hoping these faults are stored in the truck's computer logs.
