Meanwhile in Nola, no progress. My dealer just received some trucks that were built the week after ours and a couple that were built the week before ours. So who knows. Anxious for these last two to close out the list!

My x4s arrived today and took about 30 minutes for me to install. Thanks @Stage3Motorsports for the great price and service.
Bedrug and tailgate seal get installed Monday at a local dealer.
After that I’ll decide what to do about a divider , extender or other so that my pavement princess has a usable “trunk”. I’m open to ideas

Noticed my first issue with the truck last night. My tailgate release button on the gate doesn't work. I have XLT 302a so no power gate, so nothing to check in settings. I had my key fob in my hand and hitting the button on the handle of tailgate doesn't work.

Other than that, the truck is great...it is a little too quiet, right now, though.

I really want to get tint, lower the rear and maybe do a muffler delete.

We’ve had the truck for just over a week now and still haven’t seen what the smoked quartz color looks like in the sun. At least it stopped raining long enough today to get a few pictures.

Having XPEL ceramic coating installed, planning to keep this one a while and with antimatter I want to keep the antimatter blue easy to maintain.

I ceramic coated mine over Thanksgiving (CQuartz 3.0 UK) - just one coat so far but I need to do another one.

Here are a couple photos that show the blue pretty well:

I have an appointment Wednesday to get some xpel ceramic tint installed. 18% on the fronts and 50% on the windshield.

@PeanutGallery how was applying the cquarts? I was looking to pick some up been busy lately.

Have had the truck for almost a month and just shy of 1300 miles. Going to do an oil change soon just to freashen up after break in. I’ll post some more pictures after tints installed.

I’ve hauled 2-3 yards of limestone and the factory spray in still looks new. May have gone a smidge over payload capacity ? but was only driving 5 miles away.

@PeanutGallery how was applying the cquarts? I was looking to pick some up been busy lately.

Not bad--this was my 3rd vehicle to apply it to, so I had already gone through the learning curve. From what I've read, the CQuartz is among the more forgiving DIY products out there--some of the others with higher silica content flash more quickly, thus giving you a smaller margin for removal period (though they last longer because of that).

I'm a big "bang for my buck" guy, so I'd rather get 80-90% of the ceramic coating benefits for the very affordable cost of the CQuartz plus a few hours of my time as opposed to spending $1-1.5k for a professional to do it with a higher-quality product. And having applied just a single coat to my Civic Si almost 3 years and 40k miles ago, it's still performing really well on that car.

I did learn my lesson on that one though--I ran out of daylight and tried to finish it in the garage, and because of poor lighting and cramped working space, I didn't get it all buffed out as thoroughly as I thought. Ended up with some weird spots of darker color and slight rainbowing effects, but I was able to polish it all out after a couple hours of work.

As far as the F150 application, I washed it, clay-bar'd it, went over it with Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, and then one coat of CQuartz. Ideally I'll get another CQ coat on there soon but the first coat will be fine for a while.

Hardest part was getting to the middle of the roof--I'm not tall, so I ended up having to stand through the sunroof to get parts of it...and if you do that, beware the grease on the sunroof tracks. I kept brushing against it with my wiping cloth and my sleeves and then spreading it onto the paint.

Dealer called me up and said the truck has been located and will be in tomorrow at some point. Fingers crossed they aren’t yanking my chain. Hasn’t been posted to united road yet. Said pick up tomorrow evening or Wednesday ???

New update: the truck has shipped to the dealer! This IS the Week!!!

OK! The truck is officially mine... though I didn't pick it up. It's going for Linex spray in liner... works out better for me. I did pretty good with X plan and 2+ K more off but could not get the 2K trade in allowance #30786. Sales Mgr said for leased vehicles only. I just spent another 1.5 hrs on phone calls to Ford on this but not much help. The photo isn't the best; they moved trucks near mine when I went out to leave. It is a real nice truck!... better photos to come. I will pick it up either Wed or Fri.
