10/24/22 - Build Week - MY 23

I got an email Sunday night from my dealer saying my truck had arrived at the regional rail yard and that they hoped it would arrive on 1/24 on the lot. Tonight the Ford Tracker switched to final dealer prep. I guess I’ll be picking up my truck in the next day or two. Whoop!

Ughhh. I’m probably stuck on the same ramp as you. 10/31 build, ‘23 Limited, destination - central Mass. This is brutal. It’s getting to the point where I’d almost want to wait til spring to avoid the salt

Just found out that my truck is in final dealer prep!

I drove to SFO today. Guy from Oregon called about my Excursion. The dealer is on the right hand side of the highway going south. I spotted what looked like a SuperCrew 6.5 box with towing mirrors in white.

Later that day as I boarded the airporter, I texted the sales guy..Did I spot my truck in the lot?

"You would have already been contacted by me if that was the case but unfortunately it has not arrived yet" he responded.

At least it is in Richmond a 35 mile car carrier ride away. It arrived at the rail yard on Friday. It's anyone's bet when it will arrive at the dealer.

Finally here is my last look at the trusty Excursion I have owned for the last 15 years about to depart SFO. This rig has traveled all over the west in all kinds of weather and hauled my trailer to several national parks. I only hope the Powerboost is as a reliable machine as this was. It's a high bar..

I met the new owner at the airport - collected a >20k check and he's on his way.

Oh the sales guy texted back a little later. "Likely this week"

Jesus. Our trucks are really similar. You have the longer bed though. We both have tow mirrors also

Green dot circle under final prep. Do you know what that represents? Are your dates accurate on the tracker to actual or did they change? Look at your date under vehicle details of 1/21/23... what is that date mean to you. I ask because all my dates changed on the tracker... so may be a reset or dates are off throwing status off. Let me know if dealer has your truck.

New update my truck is in final prep at Granger. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Same here!!! There must be some truth to convoys going out on Tuesday’s. It’s also odd Ford would change the tracker to show shipped 11/20 and final prep for 1/15…

Very weird. Ford Tracker said yesterday my truck was in final preparation at my dealer and this morning it went backwards to shipped.

I have received the "Final Preparation" status in tracking website by Ford. Based on my experience and the date of final preparation being 10/27/2022... which was 1 day before I previously showed as shipped on 10/28/2022 for 12 weeks on the tracking site. I don't believe a word. Hope all y'all work out.

I also went back to shipped this a.m.

Looks like a release update to include green 🟢. Testing was done.

It took less than 48 hours to go from in-production to shipped. And now 90 days since it shipped. Still sitting in the Missouri train yard…. For 80+ of those 90 days….
