09/19/22 Build Week -- Final Delivery

We picked up our F150 from Granger on Friday. The transaction with Granger was excellent. The drive back was long, but the truck was great. My stupid iPhone needlessly routed us through 10 miles of dirt (mud) road near our home, which is why it is a little muddy.

I few observations during our 700+ mile drive home are:

1. It drives very nicely with excellent power.
2. The sound system sounds great -- this is coming from someone who isn't an audiophile.
3. We averaged 20.3 mpg on the way home. The MPG seems to vary between 25 or more MPG when driving 55 MPH and around 18 when driving 80 MPH.
4. We spent about 40 minutes at Granger including a tutorial regarding the operation and connecting our phones.
5. The recycle button is not enough to keep the cattle stock yard stink out of the truck when passing by in Iowa and Nebraska.

I second that! Great to see you in your truck. I am at 1 month and 3000 miles now (1800 on the trip back). Still trying to get accustomed to the passenger side tow mirror. The image in the upper pane is huge!

it is funny you mentioned the passenger side tow mirror because I was thinking the same thing. The tow mirrors are great, but I don’t have the passenger side adjusted correctly yet.

More great news! Granger did take a day or two to contact me after the tracker showed that it arrived there. Granger was very good to work with and I was probably at Granger for about 30 minutes when I picked it up.

Finally got her yesterday! Already tossed in the floor mats and the wheel well liners this morning. Now I'm deciding between line x or just a rubber mat for the bed. I've I make that decision I'll put on the tonneau!

That is great news! And you have already started the upgrades. I had a rubber mat in my Ridgeline and it was OK, but I really disliked cleaning under it and around it. We periodically haul stuff like firewood, so I went back to LineX in the F150.

I am pleased to report that everyone listed in the this build week has finally received their F150. @Happy1286 was the last to receive his after waiting 316 days -- he still owes us some pictures . I had the longest wait at 321 days and Caferick waited 319 days after being the first to order. The first order (Caferick) was in 2021 and the last delivery was in 2023 (Happy1286). The shortest wait was Superpro at 131 days. The average wait time was 251 days.

The 5 King Ranch orders waited an average of 285 days. The 6 Lariat orders waited an average of 189 days. The 6 Platinum orders waited an average of 285 days while the 2 Tremor orders waited an average of 267 days.

The average built to delivered time was 41 days with the shortest being 14 days (Superpro) and the longest being 100 days (mine ).

Not the nicest day out, but the tonneau is now on! Bed mat and rear seat cover (3 kids) come tomorrow! Then I'll mine up the tint and be done for a while.
