For those of us with safety recall notice 22S71 from January of this year, it looks like parts are in. My vehicle dashboard at ford.com said as much and to call your dealer to make an appointment. Before I could do so, my dealer called me and offered remote service. They are replacing the motor this Friday at my home. Good news! Your mileage may vary. 😬

Had mine replaced the other day as well, no issues. They also did the light recall.

The dealer that sold me the truck refused to replace the wiper motor as it had not actually failed. I made an appointment with a dealer further away and they did the work. Guess which dealer I will be doing business with in the future.

Are you serious?? I would call Ford and file a complaint. The dealer is getting paid for recalls and it's not up to him to decide whether or nor he's doing a recall. Unbelievable.
I would probably report them to NHTSA as well.

A lot confusion between Ford dealers because Ford keeps sending different answers
Now they have tear down truck to get to inspect motor
If bad then they replace
If not it stays don’t know if they’re looking for bad part number or what
Not supposed tear it down if part not In hand

Had mine replaced as soon as the recall came out. Parts were available but limited so it was at the discretion of your dealer.

You may not get one, contrary to what the January letter says. I logged into my Ford account on a whim and it said parts are in and call your dealer for an appointment. They ended up calling me the same day for a remote appointment.

The dealers were told dont replace the motor unless it's broke due to a shortage of motors. At some point all will be replaced so no need to get all excited over nothing

Of course there is a need to get excited because if it's not broken now, there is a chance of it break in the middle of driving through a heavy rain...hence the reason for this recall, no?

What are the wipers doing, that's causing the recall?

My local dealer told me that a out of state driver had a F150 that had failure in rain storm
He also told me because of current word from Ford they would not pay for it I think he said it was March 23
I asked the cost and he thought it was in 300-$400 range
Customer had no choice but pay
I guess with a lot of working with FMC he was refunded but don’t know
I found it strange my medium size dealer had part on hand
