He is showing "Trip 1" not "This Trip" so he did not drive all those hours in one setting.127 hours? I think they made a movie about that one time... hope you didn't have to cut off your arm

Not true. ICE cars (and ours at times) go into Deceleration Fuel Cut Off (DFCO) when off throttle with sufficient speed. They don’t inject any fuel at this time. At some slow speed, they’ll have to reintroduce fuel to keep from stallingNot true, pure ICE cars even going downhill and not applying any power to the drivetrain, burn fuel equivalent to idling at a stop. The electric-only miles are where the powerboost can really shine vs ICE only.
And this is why when "hypermiling" they tell you not to go into neutral (which is counterintuitive to some people). In neutral the engine will still use gas, but in drive it won't use much if any.Not true. FYI, according to service manual the engine won’t shut off when speed is above 62 mph. That means the engine will shut off when the required conditions are satisfied. I did have electric mode running over 55 mph.
Idk how I feel about knowing the service manual isn’t accurateFYI, according to service manual the engine won’t shut off when speed is above 62 mph. That means the engine will shut off when the required conditions are satisfied. I did have electric mode running over 55 mph.
Much better then the 14mpg I get on 3.5 ecoboost28.5mpg this weekend through Kentucky hills on I-75 @70mph.
Maybe because you were on bluecruise (or adaptive cruise control)?Idk how I feel about knowing the service manual isn’t accurate
This is without cruise controlMaybe because you were on bluecruise (or adaptive cruise control)?
Every time I attempted to do this manually by hitting the brake to get it into electric, it would only last 2-3 seconds. I did not use cruise control on that trip, so maybe it will allow it to do it under that condition?
FYI… Seeking electric only is not going to get you max MPG.So far I'm only getting 20 mpg, and that's with very careful driving plus seeking electric operation whenever possible. I hope it improves but this truck is heavy..
Rarely will you ever get EV to stay on at 70 MPH, unless you are coasting downhill.Maybe because you were on bluecruise (or adaptive cruise control)?

So your opinion is that running in electric has no effect on MPG. Interesting..FYI… Seeking electric only is not going to get you max MPG.
If you simply drive normal, the hybrid Engine mode provides better MPG than trying to make the truck run in EV only mode.
I have found that letting the truck computer accelerate to speed provides nearly optimal MPG.
