I’ve had an extremely irritating squeaking noise coming from my front end the last month or so. I go in to my shop this morning for a rotate, balance, and oil change and mention it to the mechanic. The noise made it embarrassing to drive in a parking lot. He takes a look and can’t find much other than what looks like something other than oil leaking. Almost looks like grease. We get the thing off the rack and I’m about to schedule an appointment with my dealer when I notice the noise is now gone.
How can an oil change have fixed this? We checked the oil level before we changed the oil and everything looked good? I went over the mileage on the oil change by a few thousand miles but that shouldn’t matter should it? This doesn’t make much sense to me. Anyone have ideas? I’ve circled the area of the leak in the photo
