Well I know where the Christmas money is going!

It's a great upgrade to the truck. I put one in mine a couple of years ago. And as far as warranty goes, it's absolutely un dectable by any dealer, they can't see it in there software. Simply turn a.s.s back on before dropping it off and they won't even know the device is there.

I don't see how it could possibly void warranty disabling auto stop/start. I went with the Forscan method that I suppose is more likely to be noticed. Not worried at all about it causing warranty issues.

Same! I would love to screw up my courage and disable the auto start/stop because sometimes I forget to hit the button and scare myself.

If you want to try an inexpensive hack to see if it works....

I plug in a LED night light (see link, below) into one of the AC outlets and it disables ASS in my Ranger and Bronco Sport. 100% effective. And inexpensive. My neighbor, with his 2018 F-150, didn't have as good a result.

As far as my F150 goes, it fortunately came with the ASS delete.

Edit: Make sure to tape over the sensor so that the light stays on. I've been told this hack works b/c the inverter sends a signal to the vehicle's brain that it is under load (even this tiny load) and as a result not to engage the ASS.

Back to the double honk. Around here leaving your truck unlocked is a sure way at some point to have to find another ride home. If leaving the truck running it is only to hook / unhook the trailer load a forgotten item or get the mail. Then all that is required to eliminate the double honk for all of these simple tasks is not completely closing the door and have the door catch on the first latch then there is no dastardly I am a lonely F150 double honk.
