My powerboost is doing something when it's parked. All night long I can hear relays and wurring. I leave the key in the middle box so it's not detecting a key or something. Sometimes when I sneak up on it from the rear I hear a few clicks. It's like it sees me in the cameras and getting ready to roll.
What could the truck possibly be doing?

My STX makes clicks if I approach it with the key. Don’t know why, it doesn’t have easy approach or any of that stuff. If I pop the hood I can always hear relays buzzing. I don’t think the battery would last more than 3 days if I didn’t run it lol

Mine does it, even with key in the house. Like something's awake under the hood LOL

Listen to it last night. Sat on chair with a beer for couple hours. Didn't move around it. Key in truck. Door locked by keypad. About 15 different sounds of electronics.
Can't help thinking about the posts where their truck went to deep sleep because battery went dead. What I'm concerned about is what happens if I park it in long term parking at airport. Is the truck using power?
Is there a way to track the energy the truck uses during supposed resting?

Everytime I mentioned this one of the first resources I get is someone talking about having their key in their pocket . Strange that the first post is the key in pocket thing.
Even if that's the case what the hell is the truck doing? It says I see you coming. I'm going to put on a pot of coffee and make cinnamon rolls. Is it priming the fuel rail, or is it excitied to see me?
I don't like how the truck is using my battery all the time. Who knows how long that storage is going to last. Is my battery going to be dead if I don't start it within a certain amount of days?

Maybe if I knew the truck would start up every so often when it thinks the battery is at the tipping point between having enough power to start or not.
I love electronics buy I need to know what's going on.

My 21 XLT mid 2.7 clicks like this constantly. No camera or sensor packages yet it knows when somebody is near it. Who knows why

You can't leave the key in the truck, that will keep the truck awake.

Higher end trucks have motion sensors and it also uses the parking sensors to detect movement.

It wakes up in case of needing to set the alarm off. The approach detection is apart of the motion sensing also. So if you walk up it wakes up to search for a key fob so the truck knows to deploy the running boards and turn on the welcome lights.

There is a Passive antenna in the tailgate the back wall and center console.

So It can make my coffee after all.

Jesse do you think leaving my key fob in the truck will drain my battery? It's used most days so the risk of a dead battery is unlikely I assume.

Any way to turn this off or put the truck into sleep mode? I'd like to get some sleep while camping. Pulling the battery cable is a pita.

It's not that loud. Pulling battery cables is a pita. Just use wire cutters. Super fast.
