Truck is loud (84dba) when remote start.

So today I had to take my cat to the vet and wanted to precool the truck so I used the remote start. When I did this it didn't start the gas engine, which is ok with me, but the truck was LOUD. I took a video I can post later but I used a sound meter on my phone and it was 84 (max 87) dba.

Is this normal? Most the sound seems to be from right behind the grill.

I don't normally remote start and previously when leaving the truck running and getting out while it's on electric only it's pretty quiet.

Yea, I noticed this also, seems the fan runs on high. At first I thought the engine was running, but quickly realized it's just the fan.

Post the video. Depending on how hot it is outside will determine how loud mine is. The engine fan runs pretty fast to get airflow over the condenser, and the electric compressor can be pretty loud when under a high load. It’s no louder than my car before it was though, which sounded like a Cessna 172 at takeoff power with the engine fan

Yes it is 94F but feels like 101F right now. We are having "unseasonably hot weather" (I don't think so.. it's Fl after all).

Very normal. Here in North FL, it is in the upper 90s with heat index over 100. When I remote start it, it sounds very loud in electric mode running the AC before getting in to press brake pedal to actually start it.

Just threw me for a loop is all. I never had heard it be that loud before, even with the engine running...LOL.
