I recently purchased a set of 275/65/20 Goodyear Duratrac RTs, for my 2023
F-150. Never owned Goodyear tires before but I wanted an all-terrain/three peak mountain designation tire that would do well specifically in snow. It will also see a bit of mud regularly, and Eight miles of gravel on a daily basis.

Snow was late this year but we had rain till December. Did great in the mud.
Now that winter is finally here and we got some decent snow, I can say with confidence that they do very well in snow.

Some of the complaints I read about the previous Duratrac version was road noise and lack of extra sidewall protection. Well, road noise, for me at least (coming from mud tires, so take that for what it’s worth) is almost non existent. Surprisingly quiet tire.

And as far as the new RTs reinforced with Kevlar, and 3ply sidewalls, only time will tell.

Ran two sets of the original duratrac on my old truck. They did get louder with age. This new version is a lighter tire not as thick. I have doubts that new version will last the high mileage the classic duratrac is known to do. Have not seen posts here from many running them to get an idea on real world performance.

I have also ran the original Duratrac, (5) E load 33's on an FJ Cruiser - even with a religious 5 tire rotation every 5k they wore very unevenly and were loud. They lasted 40k. I also seemed to pick up nails more than other tires, but that could've just been a run of shit luck.

Hopefully this new version is an improvement - I've got nothing but praise for how the originals handled trails, snow, and mud during the first couple years of running them.

Running 40-42 psi on old school duratrac I had 50k+ out of them and replaced the first set only from age. I drive about 9k per year on pickup.

So this is a little less aggressive then the standard Duratrac ? Looks like it to me ? To my eyes the lugs look a little closer together then the standard Duratrac

Yes. This is more of an all terrain, where the original duratrac is a hybrid AT/MT

Looks like a fairly aggressive tread, good to know they are fairly quiet.

Yes, that’s what it looks like. I believe this may have been to help with some of the road noise complaints 🤷‍♂️.

I did not know GY had a new version of the Duratracs and despite of some negative reviews I was going to give them a try but, when I went to order them I was told there was a newer version so I decided to try the RTs out.
