Waiting
I did the exact same thing after my 2022 Raptor arrived; after waiting 9 months I was very disappointed in the quality. I have a 2022 Silverado 3.0 LT TB (refresh) now.

I have a powerboost & 5.0 on order. I am going back to Ford due to daily issues. If the PB fails in the first 2-3 months then the 5.0 should be in transit by then.

From my understanding buybacks are sent back so the engineers can tear into them and find out what the issues are that could not be fixed at the dealer level. After that the vehicles are destroyed.
You'd like to think that, but from what I see on CarGurus, that's not true. Check out this link and on the left side, scroll down to the "vehicle History". There is a field you can check for Lemon History Reported. What's more troubling to me is that when you check it, it doesn't show which vehicles were involved.
