Hello, I heard someone else with a 2021 F150 with a king ranch or platinum, say that their headlights auto-adjusted after they installed their level kit. Does anyone here have the receipts for that statement?
I've got an XLT with the LED headlights so im wondering if I'll need to worry about it.

Nah...those trucks have dynamic bending LED assemblies. XLTs don't.

Need 502A Lariat and above for that.

So would a tremor with 402A auto adjust? Just purchased a used 2022 tremor and it’s about to get a level and bigger tires….

I believe it WOULD have the headlights that support auto-leveling and Glare-Free.

Great thank you. Do you know by chance If the dealer needs to recalibrate Cameras and whatnot because of the blue cruise?

I don't know honestly.
I would think all you can do is make the suspension modifications that make you happy, and then see if the mods messed up Bluecruise/Headlight auto-leveling.

Recalibration is just a routine run from Ford's FDRS program. Quite a few of us have licensing to use FDRS ourselves, just to avoid the dealerships. :)

I would suggest a calibration after getting a level, a guy on F150tremor.com had his cameras lose sight of the car in front of him and he rear-ended them (I think he was using the stop and go feature). As for the lights, they should be ok.

Wow that’s pretty crazy. I use mine in stop and go traffic sometimes. Good to be reminded that tech isn’t always 100% safe. It sounds like Ford says the cause was not having system calibrated after level was installed.

Yes they do. I have a 2022 tremor 402a. Same headlights as other top package level f150s. I enabled glare free on mine.

Only the LED projectors auto-adjust, not the LED reflectors.
If you have “auto-levelling” LEDs, they will aim high after levelling your truck and will still need to be adjusted; it only takes few minutes.

Edit:
Upon further thought, it may be dependent upon how you achieve levelling of the truck. If you bolt on a lift kit that doesn’t change the suspension geometry, the headlamp levelling sensor won’t see any change to the upper control arm position and therefore won’t ”auto-level”. However, if you level using a puck or coilover, the UCA will stretch and cause the headlamps to automatically adjust down.

Do the ride height sensors work off of differential height between the front and rear, or absolute ride height? This should determine how the auto-level works.

EDIT: ah, maybe you're referring to the difference between a body lift and frame lift? I think I said that right. I've never been much into the lift and level stuff

I assume that the front and rear ride height sensors are used to calculate changes in the frame angle that are then used to adjust the headlamp angle.

Yes, I am referring to how different types of lifts affect the ride height sensor mounted between the frame and UCA. A frame/body lift includes a longer wheel knuckle that maintains the UCA angle (i.e. no change in ride height sensor). Installing a coilover lift or puck on the strut tower will cause a change in the UCA angle (i.e. change in ride height sensor).

I’m no expert in lift suspension geometry, so it’s best to still check your headlamp aim after any type of levelling
