Hey all, I’m changing direction and strongly considering a 501A Lariat over XLT. I went through the order guide a few times looking for info on if the front parking sensors are standard or part of some package but I can’t seem to find anything. If anyone knows, please reply, thanks!

I could be wrong on this but i think with a 501A you would have to get the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 package which also requires either the 360 camera or tow tech package. I chose the tow tech package because for an additional $115 you get the 360 camera, trailer brake controller, and pro trailer backup assist. I don't really use the pro trailer backup or trailer brake controller but $115 is pretty cheap to add those items.

From the order guide, page 18 at the bottom.

Included with 500A and 501A with Ford Co-Pilot Assist 2.0.

For 502A, you must elect for the ACTIVE 2.0 to get parking sensors. I know, crazy.

I'm not certain for XLT, but this is what the order guide says. It seems like 301A and 302A also include parking sensors with Ford Co-Pilot Assist 2.0.

someone on here got the 502a No active prep and got front sensors. I hope I’m lucky as well but I’m guessing no.

Thank you, much appreciated, I guess I didn‘t look closely enough at the order guide!

I think I remember someone saying they changed it for 2022 where the front sensors come standard on the 502a because it comes with 360 2.0 assist On the 2021 models you had to get the prep package or something along those lines to get them.

I'm gonna be pissed if that's the case. That's not what the order guide says, and one of the ONLY reasons I spent the $2,000 extra for the Active package on my 502A. My dealer also confirmed that I needed the 502A package to get the parking sensors.

I think it changed in most recent revision of order guide.

The images I posted above were from the latest order guide, dated 1/3/22. In standard equipment, it specifically says it's not included with Assist 2.0 (asterisk later in the document including 500A and 501A - see below).

Ford F-150 Lariat 501A - front parking sensors 1641599216330

It shows it being INCLUDED *with* Active 2.0 here (required 502A).

Ford F-150 Lariat 501A - front parking sensors 1641599266965

And here's the asterisk about 500A and 501A included with Assist 2.0 only.

Ford F-150 Lariat 501A - front parking sensors 1641599297070

The way Ford does this is so stupid.

If anyone with a 502A is getting front parking sensors without the Active 2.0 package, that would be very odd since the order guide (latest one) does not say anything about it.

That’s lame. Through I had read different.

I think the order guide is possibly wrong and wasn’t changed from 2021. If you look at this local dealer to me www.boonvilleford.com they have several 502A lariats in stock and they all have front sensors. I can’t see the window sticker but the dealer notes list the options in all caps letters and most of them just have the standard assist package and not the active package.

Sigh. I mean, a 502A should have front parking sensors. I just wish Ford had communicated that with their documentation. Frustrating. Oh well, it is what it is. I'm gonna enjoy the truck regardless.

I wouldn’t mind not having it (getting a 501). I put brush guards on and they usually wig out those sensors.

It’s strange the window stickers don’t work for the couple I tried.

I thought the site might be down but other vins work. Maybe they are stock photos? Possible?
