I would replace the rubber boots, they do crack from harsh NE winters.In the Northeast it is recommended to do it annually due to the road salt/brine but typically, I only do it when a vehicle needs new brake pads or rotors. While doing that work, I typically wire wheel and grease the brakets where they contacts the slides as well to ensure the brake pads move freely within the slides.

The weird thing is that at the base of the pin the grease was clear almost like silicone colour.That looks like moly grease, which always has that glittery look to it. Same with anti-sieze. I don’t think that those pins have seen any wear.
