I'm an old Boomer and nothing stirs my soul like a healthy V8. (Well a large aircraft radial engine or V12 is right up there)

When I started looking for an F-150 I wanted an FX4 with 5.0 engine, 3.73 gears/locker and 5.5' bed. Nothing to be had within a couple hundred miles.

I ended up with a 23 Rattler with 3.5 EB. I added Tremor running boards and the Ford Performance leveling suspension.

This is one of the quickest vehicles I've ever had and in almost 70 years of life I've had some good ones.

Just did a 2,500 mile road trip through Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. Average mileage was 21 mpg which included a fair amount of cruising at 80 mph or above. Effortless passing and it was not unusual to see 100 mph while passing. Very comfortable trip and it seemed like the engine was never working hard. Mountain passes, high altitude, didn't matter.

Do I miss the V8 rumble? Yea, a little. But with the Rattler dual exhaust the 3.5 doesn't sound too bad and I'm otherwise very satisfied.

It sounds like it’s going to rip the truck in half once you pass 3,000 rpm, the induction noises are absolutely wild on the latest 4th generation engine. Addicting for sure, forget I’m not driving a Mustang GT all too often.
