DRL on Halogen Headlights

Hey, I’ve recently put Alpharex Pro Series Halogen headlights in my 23 F150. I want to adjust DRL brightness but I think I read somewhere that if you didn’t have factory DRL you can’t change the brightness. Any help would be great!

Ive heard Forscan. But I will say, I had the Alpharex, and now have the Morimoto, the Alpharex has a lot less DRL output than the Morimoto.

I wish I had the money for the morimotos! Forscan was what I was thinking but I’m pretty sure I read you can’t change it unless you had DRL from factory because forscan won’t have the option. Also jealous of the amber DRL! Got the halogens because I figured I could just add led bulbs and save some money and didn’t realize they were the only light they have that you can’t make amber

ah, yes, the Alphaex has options, amber or white.

My STX was halogen, but didn't try Forscan to boost it.

Tried to find some sort of get around to make mine amber but apparently there is no way

Yea, think it has to be their upper line LED ones. Not sure.

Yea it is but i figured i could hotwire the darn thing but no info for it and i dont feel like ruining my headlights!

I think for our gen AlphaRex assemblies you can change it. There are some YT videos out there that show swapping the plug behind a cover on the assembly that will switch to amber DRL. Catch is it will always be amber and no switchback to the white DRL.

For the AlphaRex headlights you can change drl color. There are a set of plugs in the bottom of the housing under the dust cover you plug them in for Amber and unplug them for white. You can only change the drl color on the LUXX and NOVA series easily. For the halegon projectors you would have to make custom modifications.

I believe you'd have to pull them all the way out. The access cover is on the bottom of the housing.
