Without looking it up I think the last PCM update I had prior to this one was close to a year ago.
I took a 30 mile round trip to the archery range today, speeds up to 60 with some stop and go. Zero codes afterwards so I’m considering this a win.
My observations with the Active Air Dam. powerboatr and many others could benefit from this.
I removed all the active dam components and trimmed the fixed air dam from my 502A Lariat, upon doing so I got the soft code in the PCM instantly (U0645 Lost Communication). After driving for about 15...
superfordman have you had any recent PCM updates?
I was able to successfully write 7E0-162-02 XXXX XXXX 01XX but did a PCM update minutes before. I'm not sure if the update is what helped or coincidence. At the moment I have zero DTC's in all modules with the active air dam actuators unplugged.
I unplugged my actuators and got codes in the IPMA and PSCM. They did not set a MIL light but got the ding nannies and dash messages that popped on the dash. Plugged the actuators back in and nannies went away. powerboatr and I must have the only two out of a million odd trucks.
I had a similar issue last week with mine. ABS kept saying battery low state of charge, "DTC U3003-16". I checked the battery state of charge in BCM and it was at 84%. Reset the ABS and BCM modules with no help, resting the BMS did not help either. I Let the truck sit over night and through the...
Don’t rule out the possibility of rodents snacking on the wires. They could chew up one wire and it will wreck havoc on these trucks. I know from first hand experience.
Hard to tell from your pictures but it looks like the sensor is treaded into the plastic tee and probably barbed on the hose sides. I would think if this is the case you could take the tee to a plumbing supply store and match it to a brass tee and never worry about it again.
Something similar...
Here are a few other Target State of Charge settings you can try if you don't want to take it to 95%
xxxx xx05 00-- = 80%
xxxx xxx05 50-- = 85%
xxxx xx05 A0-- = 90%
xxxx xx05 F0-- = 95%
xxxx xx06 20-- = 98%
xxxx xx06 40-- = 100%
Yes the little things. I saw your post about the "this trip" and thought this would be useful, guess not. Wish I was also able to have a 12 voltage battery gauge in the Intrument cluster.
So I tried the IPC 720-10-02 0Axx xx--, my original value was 02. Once I wrote the 0A value a instant message popped up on dash said stop vehicle immediately. Threw a DTC in the IPC stating lost communication with hybrid/pcm module. Reset back to the original value and cleared the DTC. I did...

After getting the h7 800 CCA battery have your low battery issues been resolved?
Sorry I haven't been keeping up with the forums as I was selling my home buying a new one and moving.
With all the electronics/computers in modern vehicles im surprised manufactures have not bumped up to a 24 volt system. The 12 volt systems are getting taxed. The good old days of listening to the radio for hours when the vehicle was off and still starting up with out issue are gone.
Just...
Going over my spread sheet I keep for forscan changes I have made. I remembered another WTF setting. The BCM keeps the auxiliary power distribution on for 1 hour and 15 minutes, even after you walk away and lock the doors. If i remember correctly when you open the door to without touching the...
