Camping GTA to Alberta 8248km round trip (11.5L/100km)

Live in the Toronto area and did a little camping with the family over 18 day trip. Travelled with wife and 2 teenage girls, a lot of fun and memories for a lifetime. Built a bed platform that flipped out to fit the queen trifold mattress on our little 5 1/2ft bed. Everyone took turns where they slept. Left our 30ft trailer at home and really enjoyed these travels. Would really like to get an overland trailer with a rtt for our next trip to either Yukon/Alaska or Nova Scotia/Newfoundland.

Now I am jealous! Your l/100km is accurate as mine was around 11.2 for a round trip from Toronto to Massachusetts with my wife and two teenage daughters! It would have been around 10.5 if I had kept near the speed limit on our way back. We also travelled from Wilbraham to Newport and stayed there for a day. What a beautiful place!! Home to some of the most expensive Yachts I have ever seen.

I visited BANFF back in 1982....what a very cool place as i remember MOOSE everywhere walking around town and at hotel

it was the 80s.. could be ELK ..
they were huge and had right of way everywhere.
even on golf course which was snowy
we ski d at lake Louise
stayed in a hotel that looked like a CASTLE.

it was AWESOME as heck for a teenager
once in a lifetime for me.
blast from the past... i left home shortly after this trip.
