I just received my Bilstein 6112 stage 1 kit. After reading about some variable results from other’s posts, does anyone have a like build as mine and have measurements and clip location they could share? I have a 22, 5.0 Supercab with FX4 and NO tow package (other than the factory class IV hitch. I currently have a dealer installed 2” spacer level that gave right at 1.75” results and these FX4 shocks/struts are disappointing to say the least. I’m removing the spacer and leaning towards the 4th notch 1.5” setting. I’ve read that some member results have ended up a shade higher than the chart. My kit is the 6 notch 21’/22’ specific 6112 from Stage 3. I’d prefer the 2” but don’t want to potentially end up over 2” and have my CVs angled anymore as I can’t afford UCAs in addition right now. If the 1.5” ends up a little higher, great, but hopefully that 4th notch wouldn’t end up LOWER than 1.5” on my build considering the 5.0 and Supercab? Any feedback would be appreciated and pics definitely a plus. Thanks.

It's not going to be an apples to apples comparison but I recently installed Bilstein 5100 rear shocks and front leveling struts on my Lariat Supercrew 5.0 FX4. I started with 3" of rake (front 37-9/16", rear 40-9/16") and by setting the strut to 1-1/2" of lift, it now has about 1-5/16" of rake (front 39-1/8", rear 40-7/16") so I got a little less than 1-1/2" of lift . Since the 6112 kit comes with new coil springs I can't say what effect that might have but I would think it might get you closer to the advertised lift height since the coils are most likely a little stiffer. If you are looking for 2" of lift or a little less I would set it at the 2" notch since many people say that once the shocks break in they settle a little.

Thanks for the input Blue22, great looking truck. I believe the Bilstein coils are a 600lb spring rate with this kit so it’ll be interesting where exactly the 1.5” notch would land me. I’d definitely prefer an exact 2” but for long term CV and boot health I don’t want 2+. Kit has 5100’s as well so I could always add a 1” to the back.

Do you know what the stock spring rate is?

I haven’t been able to find an accurate chart for the 21/22. However, from a ‘19 post, my front GAWR of 3525 shows a 513 lb/in but no idea if that carries over. The spring codes for the 21/22 on the door sticker have changed as well from what I’m reading. Min shows 33BB. Any idea on your end by chance? Thanks
