  1. 4% Under Invoice on any 2024 F-150 Order at Granger Ford

Granger Ford has a great reputation. One of my worries is what if you flew into Des Moines to take delivery but saw an issue with the vehicle that wasn't caught during the pre-delivery inspection? How would that be handled if it can't be remedied the day of delivery?
  2. 2024 - Has the 10 speed been remedied?

So the ZF 8HP transmissions are used in more vehicles than just Stellantis. I've driven a Ram 2500 with the ZF 8HP and the transmission performance was superb. I also have 2 other vehicles with the ZF 8HP45 variant and they're incredibly reliable and durable. BMW transitioned from the DCT...
  3. 2024 - Has the 10 speed been remedied?

I'm curious what others would consider as a better automatic transmission.
  4. 2024 - Has the 10 speed been remedied?

ZF 8HP** is probably the best automatic transmission ever made.
  5. 4% Under Invoice on any 2024 F-150 Order at Granger Ford

I think there used to be other dealers that competed with Granger Ford on these forums but their forum presence largely disappeared.
  6. Lariat 502A BAP vs Platinum 701A

You're opening up a can of worms with the non-hybrid vs hybrid debate and I'm not going to go there right now... :ROFLMAO:
  7. Lariat 502A BAP vs Platinum 701A

One other significant negative of the non-PowerBoost Lariat is that the 2.0kw ProPower Onboard does not appear to be available based on the online configurator tool.
  8. Lariat 502A BAP vs Platinum 701A

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm getting closer and closer to placing an order for a 2024 SuperCew with a 6.5 ft. bed in the base Platinum trim. I went through the options and caught the distinction between the XL9/XL6 and XL5/XL7 axles which wasn't clear on Ford's build and price...
  9. Has anyone ordered a 2024 with Tow/Haul 53T AND axle XL5 / XL7?

I'm glad I came upon this thread to realize the difference between the XL9/XL6 vs. XL5/XL7 rear axles? I was almost about to submit an order for the semi float axle instead of the 3/4 float axle. Ford's online build configurator tool was not descriptive.
  10. Max Tow Tru Trac??

Any idea if the 2024 F150s with the Tow/Haul package use these 35 spline axles?
  11. 4% Under Invoice on any 2024 F-150 Order at Granger Ford

@Granger Ford Do you have any additional insight on what the overall Fords production numbers (or percentages) of the Raptor vs Platinum trim will be for 2024? Will Ford end up producing more Raptors than Platinums?
  12. 10R80 Transmission Teardown

    Thanks for sharing.
  13. Members with Michelin Defender LTX or LTX 2's on their trucks.

Well, the correlation between brands is weaker, but for some manufacturers, there is a stronger correlation between their own 3PMSF rated tires non 3PMSF rated tires. I’m really waiting for a review that compares the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 versus the Michelin Agilis CrossClimate tire. It...
  14. Leveled or Lifted "Long Bed" 157" Wheel Base Photo Thread

Would you have been able to clear the front wheels/tires without a level (at stock ride height)?
  15. 2024 F-150 Scheduling This Week (4/4/24) for Production Week 5/13 - 5/20

How the heck are they still facing limited availability issues with the 3.5L EB and spray on Bedliner this late in 2024?
  16. Steeda rear sway bar for F-150

When you say "sway" in this context, are you talking about body roll? When most people talk about sway, they are talking about "trailer sway" which isn't remedied by a anti roll bar, but rather: 1. Proper weight distribution. 2. Tire load rating / rear axle weight rating 3. Sway control...
  17. Did any of you consider a GMC/Chevy with the 3.0 Duramax?

I agree with this assessment. L5P would be my preference for a diesel powertrain in the HD category. But for a 1/2 ton, I'd stick with a gas motor and the latest 3.5 EB generation has a better track record than the latest 5.3/6.2. I don't think I'd consider a 3.0 Duramax at the moment because...
  18. Steeda rear sway bar for F-150

So I under WHY the other modifications are more popular. Practically speaking the leaf spring upgrade only really exists if the manufacturer makes a leaf spring pack for a higher payload model. The F150 is an exception - I don’t think you see this option frequently for the other OEMs. Also...
  19. Overheated Engine to 401 degrees

Just get your truck running and trade it in unless you’re going to get it covered by warranty. In fact, if you’re under warranty, you’re better off letting the engine turn into kibbles and bits to get the replacement under warranty.
  20. Overheated Engine to 401 degrees

Nope, 400+ is no joke. My N55 launched a rod through the engine block and also took out my steering rack in the process at VIR. My engine oil temperature registered 290F (normal range is 220-250F) when that happened according to my data logs. But I'm surprised you went from a normal...
