Add integrated tailgate step?

So I did not get the tail gate work surface on my 23. I did not think that the worksurface was a required upgrade to get the integrated tailgate step...I thought that was just a thing they put on all the tailgates now.... so to my suprise...I have not retractable step.

Before I go and start pulling the plastic off the top and unscrewing the security panel from the tailgate...can anyone tell me if I can just purchase the retractable step and handrail and add it to my current tailgate... or are the tailgates different and I would have to replace the entire tailgate?

I tried to reach out to my dealer, but have not heard back from them yet.
I am not really interested in the bumper or tailgate step.
I did find an alternative that is sold out of Australia, but not super keen on drilling into the tailgate if I dont have to.

I think I heard that it gets in the way with a dual exhaust system. I could be wrong though. The install video shows it on a dual exhaust truck. Ill have to see if my exhaust come out the back or off to the side as seen in the video.

The exhaust comes out in a single pipe on passenger side. Raptor comes out as a dual pipe. AMP step is on the drivers side bumper.

You have to swap the entire tailgate.

+1 the entire tailgate must be replaced (inner sheet metal differences to accomodate the steps)

Yea...dont think the AMP step will work for me.
From their pictures on their website it looks like it will fold right into where the left exhaust is.
