Other thoughts:

The computer is probably 1 mpg or so optimistic.

The truck runs amazing on E85

@JExpedition07 loves the 5.0 lol

I can get 24-25 mpg at 70 mph all day if no wind and flat.

I also had a great 21 Lariat powerboost 4x4 with 3.73 gears, 18" factory Goodyears & ride height, tonneau cover, 1600 lbs payload, same 38/34 inflation specs.

Powerboost saw less mpg on the same routes at freeway speed (~1-2 mpg less). On trips longer than 3 minutes at lower speeds, it was obviously better. Around 23 mpg computer for the 11k miles I had it.
So you have the 5.0 and 3.31 gears. What cab, bed, and drive you have? Cuz those are some pretty high numbers for your typical Screw 4x4.

I have a supercrew 4wd shortbed with a tonneau. The truck is very light relative to others and has 32" vs 33" tires.

I just did a 200 mile trip, elevation went from 1100 to about 600 feet. Wind 8 m/hr mostly cross, but helping just a touch.

Averaged 25.0 mpg per the dash on arrival. I had cruise at 71-72 mph for most of the trip.

91 octane.

Oh very nice! Yeah that sounds like a very light duty truck. Makes me wonder what a heavier 3.73 max tow 5.0 with that larger 9.75” rear end would have achieved on that same exact trip and condition.

Yeah. I just have the regular tow package & FX4 with the 3.31 e locker. Honestly most people with Max tow in the f150s run out of payload before tow capacity from what Ive noticed. And the 10 speed allows that first gear to be pretty short anyways.

I have 1979 payload and 9400 towing which makes me happy considering its a 4x4 crew cab with lots of features.

3.73 gearing with 285/65r20 E rated AT tires here.

Average 14 MPG on 93 octane this month. Got a lead foot (Corsa sounds way to nice), and mostly city driving the past month. No where near 20 🤣

I'm thinking of ordering a super crew, 6.5' bed, 2wd truck but I'm debating the 3.31 or 3.73 locking diffs. I'm leaning towards the 3.73 because I like acceleration and burnouts.

What is the consensus of how much 2wd vs 4x4 makes? How about the 3.31 to 3.73?
