Has the F150 become too bulky?

285/60 r20 Ridge Grapplers on Fuel Tech D671 +1. Bilstein 6112/5160 kit set to 2.5” - very happy with the ride quality. Less like driving a boat…speaking of.

Coming from 2013 F150, it’s just so much bigger. Tires almost feel unproportional for what you can fit, makes me question going to a 4” lift down the road.

Really good looking truck, you like the 2.5" height? Thinking of going with that setup with 285/65s.

Thanks, I would go 285/65, don’t think you’d have an issue. I went 2.5” for if things settle or if I wanted to add rear blocks. Haven’t taken measurements yet.

Why did you pull that front trim piece above the bumper fascia/below the headlamps?

Otherwise, truck looks great

I pulled the grille for disassembly, dropped the stainless/chrome pieces off to the body shop for color matching. Removing the grille was easy, disassembling the grille was kind of a pain. Will post some pictures of the process.

Oddly, the reverse camera and of course 360 camera don't work without the front/emblem so I dropped it back in until parts come back from paint. I want to get them cured fully before reassembly as I get peppered with bugs on my morning commute..

I had Line X applied last week.
Over the weekend I installed the Peragon - Limited Bed Cover. Installation took about 2 hours and was straight forward. I had this on my old truck which was water resistant enough for me and never had any problem. This time I went with the Limited version and really happy matte black finish - matches the bed rails pretty well. They are constantly sending coupons, $250 off for this model. Heat gun for residue free removal of the stickers. I will say, it wasn't 3 months before the new truck I realized the whole collapsed bed cover is removable with a click of a button...6 years owning that truck and it literally takes 10 second in or out. Another reason for sticking with Peragon.

I'm really interested in the Peragon given you can take it out so easily. The rails that it roles on, are those above the top of the bed rails slightly? The reason I ask is I have a cooler that is the exact same height of the rails and need a cover that doesn't take away any height so my cooler fits underneath. TYIA!

@wolfman1 sorry man, you do lose maybe 1/2”. (Mind the mums)

I am curious if anyone has issues with the Peragon cover and UnderCover Swing storage…?

I appreciate you sharing, definitely a huge help saving me some time. *Crosses Peragon off list*

Added Husky rear wheel liners and stubby antenna from Stage 3, the little things... Needed to trim a bit to fit Bilstein 5160s. Used the Milwaukee Rotary Tool and Dremel EZ Lock - Wood Cutting Blade . Great blade for cutting plastics, no melting at medium speed. The new Dremel EZ Lock system is really nice, definitely worth the money not having to fiddle with tiny screws/cut off wheels.

No reception loss with stubby antenna.
