Do we know if the trucks built within the last few months have the "new" part?

Mine was built in January. I’ll check the part number later today when I get the truck back.

Per dealer, my part came in this morning. They said hopefully it will be installed and finished by Friday.

The service guy at my dealership at Koerner Ford in Syracuse NY said that the part they were delivered is the exact same design and material as the part that was originally installed. No changes at all have been made. I hope this was an issue with a defective batch of parts and not design.

You should also update your spreadsheet and remove @rhymeandreasons record as having issues post-install. As mentioned in this thread earlier, his subsequent leak does not seem to be related at all to the exhaust heat exchanger leak or part replacement

Depends on your bed size. The original defective part number is ML3Z-5A212-S.

The updated part for a 5.5 foot bed is ML3Z-5A212-W.

The updated part for a 6.5 foot bed is ML3Z-5A212-V.

2021 or 2022 doesn't make a difference. It sounds like he's ordering the wrong size for you.
