  1. New tire purchase - lessons learned

Isn't there a blue or red dot on the tire that marks the lightest spot and that should go by the valve stem?
  2. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

I think a lot of my truck problem was due to sitting in the elements for very long periods of time. With my heat exchanger problem, the truck sat outside in the dealer's back lot for 29-days. No telling how long it sat outside before I got it.
  3. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

My ordeal with FMC is now complete. I just received my 2023 GMC Sierra SLT and it is the perfect truck --- so far.
  4. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

I called it "Buy Back" but Ford called it "Repurchase" so I figured out there was a proper name here and it was "Repurchase". I received an amount equal to what I paid for the truck. I wanted another 2022 but they were no longer available and I had to order a 2023. The 2023 cost $8,000 more...
  5. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

I apologize if some of you think I am gloating here. It was a very vagarious system of steps I went through in dealing with the problems of my 2022 Lariat Powerboost. Even after that ordeal I was ready to buy another one until I was told it would cost me another $8,000 plus the "Repurchase"...
  6. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

Sorry - I ordered a GMC Sierra SLT with the 5.3L engine, Volcanic Red with black interior, and all options except the heavy trailer package.
  7. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

The interesting development is that Consumer Reports recognizes all of the grief FoMoCo has inflicted on those of us that spent a lot of money on the Ford F-150 Powerboost by awarding FoMoCo the "Most Unreliable Vehicle in the USA in 2022" award.
  8. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

I like your picture as it looks like the house I built in the Arkansas River Valley of Colorado. I bought 2-acres in Chalk Creek Canyon at 8,800 feet, drew out a 3-bed 2-bath house on my computer, bought a truck load of lumber and other stuff, and built my own house. The crooks and "water...
  9. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

I bought a 2022 Lariat Powerboost with almost all of the options except the heavy trailer options.
  10. Interesting Developments on "Repurchased" F-150

My 2022 F-150 Powerboost was "Repurchased" so I went to the Dealer and told her I wanted another truck like the one "Repurchased". I had a lot of trouble with my 2022 but was still impressed with the design and engineering of the truck. She said I could no longer get a 2022 but would have to...
  11. Shocked at the price increase!

FMC repurchased my 2022 Lariat and I asked for a replacement just like my 2022. I was told I could no longer get a 2022 and would have to order a 2023. FMC bought back my 2022 at $67,178 which is what I paid for it. The replacement 2023 was going to cost $75,715.50. FMC gave me a voucher...
  12. My job here is done

I think my time with Ford trucks, which began about a year ago, has ended. My wife and I went to the Ford Dealer to buy her a Ford Edge. While there, the Sales Lady mentioned that I should look at a F-150 since she noticed I was driving a GMC Sierra. I told her that the Ford always cost much...
  13. Engine braking with the PowerBoost

I live in the mountains of North Carolina and I use the Cruise Control to control speed going down the mountain roads. Always works for me.
  14. Phone Apps

I have read that some people are able to watch YouTube and other video on the display screen and I would like to see this happen on my screen. When I open Android Auto, I get some Apps but others do not display. How do I make an App that is on my phone appear on my Sync Screen?
  15. Powertrain Vibration --3.5 L Turboboost operation

That is interesting. I took my truck out on the Smoky Mountain Expressway and set the cruise control for 55 mph. The transmission was in "auto" and settled on 10th gear. I pressed the "+" and "-" buttons several times and nothing changed. It stayed solid in 10th gear.
  16. Powertrain Vibration --3.5 L Turboboost operation

Don't you have to be in the "M" mode before these buttons work?
  17. Powertrain Vibration --3.5 L Turboboost operation

How do you lock out 10th gear?
  18. Powertrain Vibration --3.5 L Turboboost operation

I am asking the community for information on the Turboboost operation. I have a 2022 Lariat with the Powerboost hybrid set up. I notice that when climbing a fairly long and steep mountain (I live in the North Carolina mountains) at about 55-mph using Cruise Control, I will periodically get a...
  19. Logistic woes of FMC - especially the Dealers

I have a 2022 Ford Lariat that has an air conditioner that freezes up. Normally AC units freeze up due to LOW refrigerant level so I went to the dealer. He said he could "work me in" on August 2, about a month later. I met the scheduled date and still the truck sit in the Dealer's lot waiting...
  20. Nothing is Ever Easy

I have 4,000 miles and my meter shows 23.1 mpg for the whole distance. About 1/3 of my miles are electric and I live in the mountains of western NC.
