I watch a TV show called "Homestead Rescue" that is about an off grid Alaskan family helping others in off grid situation that are needing help all over the US. They drive mainly Ford F-150's, and in latest shows even have a 2021, but no powerboost option. In virtually every show they are using power saws building shelters, repairing buildings, etc with many situations having no grid power. I am surprised that Ford hasn't jumped into becoming a sponsor and supplying them with a Powerboost equipped F150, and have them demonstrating plugging in heavy draw circular saws, grinders, and metal cutoff saws, etc. They could be even using 220VAC welding equipment. How many trucks could that exposure sell?.....lol

They'd probably get more marketing reach on them house build/flip shows.

The thing that stands out is that the remodeling shows have power already wired into homes where the "out in the boonies" type of show would interest the travel trailer and cabin building type folks that want power anywhere.

If you've been building off the grid for several years without a PB why would you need to buy a PB?

I imagine they already have a generator that can run their electrical load, that the are comfortable with.

The PB is a neat package, but the modularity of having separate systems is not only cheaper, it's more reliable. If your PB inverter broke down and you need to drive out of the Alaskan wilderness to a dealership to get it fixed, now your generator and your vehicle are in the shop. Likewise if your IWE fails, now you don't have access to your generator while it's being fixed.
