Good reasoning, in my opinion.Quite a few years back we had a spark plug seize in an aluminum head at 60,000 miles or so. The threads stripped out and we had to have a heli-coil put in.
No way I'll run to 100,000 without changing the plugs.
Since then all of my spark plugs have been changed early - with anti-seize compound on the new plugs.
There are some types of maintenance that I don't consider frequency or intervals based on what's the longest I could wait.
The Ecoboost is definitely a motor that I'm not waiting until Ford's recommendations or any symptoms present, before I change plugs. Besides, it's one of the easiest modern motors to change plugs on, so nothing to avoid.
