Unfortunately no 4A for me. I got the base package. I couldn't justify another 7.5k on the sticker price.

Not much for functionality of the truck, but if you have a water softener, grab 6 bags 240 lbs or so. Double bag them and put over the axle. Slippery mode is nice in 2h and 4h, but doing this definitely made a difference for me. Plus, you'll use it up when you don't need it in the spring 👍🏼

If you got a tremor just leave it in 4a, lol
That would work if it's a 402A Tremor. 400A and 401A do not have 4A. I thought for a long time when they were being released that 4A was to be standard. If it was, I would have ordered a 401A.

I get that. 400A to 402A is a 16 grand jump here in Canada.

Number 1 is proper snow/winter tires. Number 2 is a couple 60 lb bags of tube sand in the front of the bed towards the rear window.

I have the 2023 Tremor with Standard package. They only offered Standard or High. I'm assuming the added $11,000 to the sticker price over the original price of the 2022 accounting for some of the "mid" equipment to be included.

Even with high, they removed the heated steering wheel. I couldn't justify 7.5k for 4A, 12" console screen over 8", better headlights and I forgot what else.

That's correct and those are Canadian 2022 prices shown.

Ford Canada does not have the 2023 build and price up yet...

Heated/ventilated leather seats

Ford got rid of the mid packages for 2023 for what they claim to be supply chain reasons, but really I think it was to force people who were doing the x01a packages to just spend more for the x02a packages, thereby increasing their profit per vehicle, which is already an astounding $10k or so on avg for F150s

The parts to convert my 302a to 4a were about $900 US. Something to consider. Ice is a very rare thing for us to encounter. I wanted it for traction when running e30 tunes which can bring a PB into the 600hp 700ftlb tq range. Traction in 2wd stock was an issue.

That is the mod that is at the top of my list.

Was it plug n play or did you have to do some programming as well?

I gotta say I’ve never put weight in the back and I have a pretty light truck (supercab) XLT. I’ve had no issues in the winter just using light pedal pressure.

Worst is actually getting out of my driveway which I usually use 4L.

With my 2WD trucks I put a 1x12 board in back of the wheel wells and could put anything heavy there and have it stay in place. Having the weight further back from the cab makes it less likely that you will spin out. Vans in the past had a 300 lb steel plate at the rear to help with traction.

When I got my first 4WD vehicle with a limited slip rear differential I found I needed to put it in 4WD much less often. I had a steep gravel road from my house to the highway and I could stay in 2WD with a rear drive and not spin the tires. But it was a true LSD with clutches.

It requires the transfer case (that fits your specific model, ie: the powerboost has a TC unique to it), the transfer case control unit, and the dash switch that has 4a button. There are some forscan changes to make as well.
