STX with anything but 2.7 ecoboost

This question is only for the folks in the States because I already know what the answer is in Canada.

Can you guys order an XL model with the STX package paired with any other motor except for the 2.7 L ecoboost?

I’m trying to help my cousin order his first truck and an STX with the 5.0 L is what he really wants.

I told him with Ford you don’t really get what you want, you take whatever they’ll give you as per their specifications and designs and that his only hope would be Ordering one in the states if they let you do that over there.

That's bizarre. I wonder why the Canadian market limits the 2021 to the 2.7 only? I just ran through the build/price tools quickly...

I didn't have any issue selecting the 5.0 with STX on the Ford.com build and price tool.

Might want to check the 2022 order guides if things have changed from the 2021 online build/price, but looks like a US order might be the way to go.

No dice. 2022 Canadian XL's with STX require the 2.7.

yup, I have a 2021 STX with the 5.0. Dealer had 2.7, and 3.5, and 5.0's

Thanks a lot for the confirmation. Sucks that we can’t get it up here but at least now we know where to get one. How are you liking your 5L STX?

I just picked up my 21 STX 5.0 crew and love it so far. Lots better in many ways than my 2015 xlt 3.5 crew.

The gas mileage seems pretty great so far, 21-22 if I drive it easy. The 3.5 got 17 driving the same…
