Hey everyone. I have been seeing a bunch of posts about forscan changes to enable the mirror camera view to come on when you turn on your turn signal. I have looked and looked and I can't find any posts that show what the forscan values are. If anyone knows, could you please share? I believe it's one APIM change and an IPMA change. But I'm not positive.

Thanks.

Only works on 2023 trucks.
May work on others if Ford decides to upgrade us but not holding my breath.

What type of upgrade are you referring to? What's different about 23's?

but, what will you see when the side camera comes on in the display? Aren't those cameras pointed primarily at the ground?

Thank you! I'm giving it a try tomorrow. I did read that it only worked with a trailer plugged in. Any idea if that's accurate?

I don't think so. I think they look down your blind spot along the side of the vehicle.

I have Echomaster cameras installed in my Sprinter mirrors, which are pointed aft and eye-level, and I get a good view down the side when the turn signal is activated. It's very handy.

However the cameras in my F-150's tow mirrors wouldn't help me see what was on my flank; they're actually under the mirror base, pointed downwards

Put truck in reverse, on screen with camera view hit trailer button. You'll see 50/50 rear view from mirrors. Same view that turn signal would provide for trucks that support it. It's really a super duty thing, but some 2023 F-150 can get it with Forscan.

No idea. I don't have a trailer to test. But it doesn't pop up with regular turn signals.

That is correct. I'm going to try with my trailer this weekend.

Yep I’m sure my 21 software isn’t to far off

Just a little update. I have the toggle in my on screen menu, but it is greyed out and I can't turn it on. Even with a trailer connected. Is there something else we're missing? This is on my 22 Plat PB.

Without the required 2023 IPMA software nothing will work.

We don't know when or if an IPMA update will come to older trucks with support for the turn signal cameras.

Well that bites. It's there. Just turn it on Ford!!!
It's a great safety feature. We pay a lot for these trucks and tow with them. Throw us a bone already!
