Does anyone know if you can upgrade from the 2.4kw generator to the 7.2 kw after the truck is built?

The going belief is currently "no" until proven otherwise.

You need a new (2 phase) inverter, new plugs in rear, new 30A cable to the rear, new breakers, and new console plug with breaker instead of a 12V DC plug. Then of course, the reflash of your computer to enable the correct propower.

Yes, I would have thought that the 30 A wiring etc, would be standard.

I was thinking that it would be just a new rear interface and reflash of the computer. Unplug some connections, and plug new ones into the unused plugs.

I am not personally interested, I have a friend who was looking at a Powerboost with the standard 2.4 kw and he wanted to know if they can upgrade after.

I am sure that others will be interested in this, especially if it is even a option.

I guess the dealer did not really give any answers.

This is not a well understood topic, I recall this forum had a multi-page topic and no one seemed to have an official answer, and mixed answer from dealers.
I have a 2.4 kw, which is perfectly fine for me (for now), but 2 or 3 years from now, if there's an upgrade kit or something available, I would be all over that.

will let you all know in a moment. Bought a powerboost off the lot that had the 7.2 kw on the window sticker and told the sales person that this was the main reason to but the vehicle for camping. He told me it was the 7.2 and I bought it. 2 weeks later while putting in the bed liner, I saw it was only the 2.4. I told the dealer today, that I did not want the 750 back and I wanted the 7.2 They will call ford and see what can be done.

I personally own 2022 lariat star white.. Only available on lariet or higher. I wanted it to match make our Mache star white. I have no regrets..I have 7.2 watt generator.. The other day I drove on the feeder of the expressway over 35 mile range.. It did not deficit any milage from my gas tank but it actually gave me 20 extra miles.. Drive only took me about 15 minutes longer I wanna say.
